New Adobe Introductory Short Courses Now Available

February 20, 2008 | 5:00P

Training Services now offers introductory short courses in Dreamweaver, Flash, and Acrobat 8 Pro.

Acrobat 8 Professional Getting Started
Acrobat helps you create portable document format (PDF) files from Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet Explorer, AutoCAD, Lotus Notes, or any application that prints. Topics in this 2 hour workshop include exploring the Getting Started window; navigating PDFs; using the Zoom and Hand tools; the toolbars and the Organizer. Finally we will see how easy it is to create PDFs--from a single file; from multiple files; from a Web page, and from a Microsoft Word document.

Dreamweaver CS3 Getting Started
Whether you are an experienced web designer or a beginner, you will find that Dreamweaver can help you with every part of your web project, from designing simple pages to fixing links to publishing your pages on the Web. Topics covered in this 2-hour workshop include exploring the Dreamweaver interface and learning how to navigate in the program. We will talk about planning a site, look at the site setup features and create a simple page, adding images and text.

Flash CS3 Basics
Flash is a powerful tool for deploying media such as animation, data driven applications, advertisements, games, and interactive Web applications. In this 2-hour workshop you will start by becoming familiar with the Flash interface. You will then discover how Flash documents work and learn about the two main formats associated with Flash authoring. We will create a simple Flash document, look at timelines and the use of symbols for adding interactivity to your movies.
